Salt Therapy
This is Acklam Express with our salt therapy machine. Powdered salt is pumped out of the valve on the side of the machine and inhaled by the horse.
Salt is a great non-invasive and drug free healer. The inhaled salt helps to loosen any mucus in the horses airways, therefore making them a lot clearer. The salt also helps the horses skin amongst a variety of other benefits, including reducing inflammation and aiding circulation.

A string of our two-year-old fillies having their first canter on Langton Wold’s newly resurfaced six furlong gallop. A great addition to the ever improving training facilities here in Malton.

Athollblair Boy runs this evening in the 6:00 at Newcastle. There are only four runners declared for the race and Alex Jary takes 7lb off.

This Night Of Thunder colt isn’t complaining. He is a half-brother to Force Eleven, who has just returned to Woodlands Stables to prepare for his 3yo campaign.
Rehoming Success
A rehoming success story! This horse is proof that all racehorses can be rehomed successfully. Itsgoodtobeus didn’t provide many memories on the track but he did leave a lasting memory on those that rode him at home. Good memories? I’m not so sure!
Now a reformed character, he is now loving his new life and is even good enough for a beach ride (the sea air must have got to him)!
